Product introduction

WZPK TYPE explosion-proof armored thermal resistance is a temperature sensor. It is widely used in automatic control system of Chemical industry. Through temperature sensor,it can transform the temperature parameters of the control object to  electric signals, then delivery them to display instrument ,recorder, regulator, and carry out detection ,control and adjustment to the system. In chemical factories, there are always many flammable and explosive chemical gas, steam, hydrocarbon etc. in production field. It is very dangerous to use normal thermal resistance, and will cause explosion of environment gas easily. So, we must use explosive-proof or intrinsic safety type thermal resistance as temperature sensor in these places. Besides, it has Multiple explosive-proof types, good explosion-proof performance, compression spring type thermal components, good anti-vibration performance, high mechanical strength and good pressure-resistant properties.

Working principle

Explosive-proof or intrinsic safety type thermocouple has similar structure and principle withfabricated thermocouple. The difference is that explosive-proof or intrinsic safety type thermocouple’s junction box(shell) is designed to use explosion-proof special structure and is cast by high-strength aluminum alloy. It has enough inside space, wall thickness and mechanicalstrength, and the heat stability of its rubber sealing ring satisfy the nationalanti-explosion standard. So, when the explosive gas mixture inside junction box  happen explosion accident, its internal pressure won’t destroy junction box, and the resulting heat energy can not spread beyond booster.

Thermal response time
When temperature is under the step change, the input of thermocouplel changes to the time that 50% of the step change cost. It is called thermal response time, which is represented by T0.5.
Nominal Pressure
Generally refers to the room temperature, protective tube will not crack under static pressure. Test pressure usually use 1.5 times of nominal pressure. Actually, Allowance nominal pressure is not only related to material Of protecting tube, diameter and wall thickness, but also related to its structural style, installation method, placed-depth and the types, flow rate of measured medium.
Thermocouple insulation resistance
The test voltage of the normal temperature insulation resistance: 500±50V DC.
The atmospheric conditions to measure the normal temperature insulation resistance: 15~35℃, relative humidity 45%,  atmospheric pressure 86~106kPa.
For thermocouple whose length>1m, the product of the normal temperature insulation resistance value and its length should not be less than 100 MΩ.M. That is to say Rr·L>100 MΩ·m L>1m.In the formula: Rr- value of thermocouple’s normal temperature insulation resistance, MΩ;L- length of thermocouple, m. For thermocouple whose length≤1m, the normal temperature insulation resistance value should not be less than 100 MΩ.
